Privacy Policy for ShopCue

Last updated: October 9, 2026

ShopCue is a shopping list for iPhone that reminds you about items when you're near or at a store you've picked. In short: ShopCue does not collect any data. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. Your lists and everything ShopCue knows about where you've been stay on your iPhone.

Information we collect

None. The developer does not receive your lists, your stores, your location, your photos or any usage or diagnostic data.

Location

With your permission, ShopCue asks iOS to watch areas around the stores you've picked (region monitoring). iOS wakes ShopCue when you cross one of those boundaries, and ShopCue checks your list on your device to decide whether to remind you. ShopCue does not track your location continuously, and location data never leaves your iPhone. You can see when location was last used, and why, in Settings → Permissions & Privacy inside the app, and turn it off at any time in iOS Settings.

Your lists, photos and history

Items, notes, links, photos, the stores you pick, and ShopCue's record of reminders it sent or couldn't send are stored only in ShopCue's storage on your iPhone. They are deleted when you delete the app. ShopCue does not sync them anywhere.

Voice input

If you add items by voice, ShopCue uses Apple's on-device dictation, which runs entirely on your iPhone (the first time, iOS may download the dictation model from Apple), and, where available, Apple Intelligence on your iPhone to tidy the result. Audio is not recorded or saved, and neither your voice nor the text leaves your iPhone.

Services your device contacts

No other third-party services, SDKs or trackers are included.

Purchases

ShopCue Unlimited is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple. The developer never sees your payment details or Apple Account; ShopCue only asks iOS whether the purchase is active on your device.

Feedback and diagnostics you choose to share

ShopCue keeps a diagnostic log on your iPhone (the stores it watched, their locations, and when reminders fired) to help improve reminder accuracy and battery use. Nothing is sent automatically. If you use Send Feedback, you decide what to share: app details (app version, iOS version, device model) and, optionally, a copy of that diagnostic log, sent through your own email or messaging app. The developer uses anything you send only to answer you and fix problems.

Children

ShopCue is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
